scripting components that communicate with Adobe InDesign CS6 Server.

3. Development Environment
***********************************************************
* InDesign CS6 Server

* JDK (Java SE Development Kit) 1.5 or newer.

* Eclipse 3.2 or newer (optional) - Available for download
  at http://www.eclipse.org/

  Windows:
    - Microsoft Windows XP with service pack 2
    - Ant 1.8 or newer - Available for download at
      http://ant.apache.org/.

  Mac OS
    - Mac OS X 10.6
    - Ant 1.8 or newer - OSX 10.6 with the latest updates
      installs this by default.

* Additional requirements for regenerating the InDesign Server
  Java/CORBA API:

  - InDesign CS6 Products SDK
  - omniORB 4.1.2 - See installation instructions in "Regenerating
    the InDesign Server Java API" in "Adobe InDesign CS6 Server
    Solutions".

  - Windows:
    - Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 with Service Pack 1
    - Perl (optional) - For chm generation. Available for download
      at http://www.activestate.com.
    - Microsoft HTML Help 1.4 SDK (optional) - For chm generation.
      Available for download at http://www.microsoft.com.

  - Mac OS:
    - XCode 3.2.5 - Available for download at
      http://developer.apple.com/xcode/

4. Documentation Updates
***********************************************************
All documents now contain an update status box either on the
copyright page or at the beginning of each chapter. This box
identifies changes to the technical content and specifies
the update status of the document or chapter. Not all chapters
or documents are updated for each release, and for interim
releases, product changes could have an effect on document
content that has not been identified. The update status boxes
let you know when content is not guaranteed to be current.

In CS6, several documents have been reorganized and renamed
as follows:

* "Adobe InDesign Server Scripting Guide" contains the
  former documents:
   - "Adobe InDesign Server Scripting Guide"
   - "Adobe InDesign Server Scripting Guide ME"

* "Getting Started with the Adobe InDesign Server SDK"
  contains the former documents:
   - "Getting Started withe the Adobe InDesign Server SDK"
   - "Adobe InDesign Server SDK Samples"

* "Adobe InDesign Server Solutions" contains the former documents:
  - "Working with Adobe InDesign Server Java"
  - "Working with Adobe InDesign Server Soap"
  - "Working with Load Balancing and Queueing for InDesign Server"
  - "Regenerating the Adobe InDesign Server Java API"
  - "Adobe InDesign Server Scalability and Performance"
